How importing from any country works
TuranKargo is a freight forwarder handling international transport and customs clearance into Azerbaijan. Whatever the country of purchase, the work follows the same sequence.
- You send a request: goods, weight, volume, supplier’s country and city.
- The operator sends an offer with route, transport mode and terms.
- The cargo is received from the supplier, measured, documents are checked and the final price is confirmed.
- International transport, customs clearance and handover at our Baku warehouse.
Lanes with our own warehouses, and everywhere else
In China (Guangzhou), Turkey (Istanbul) and the USA (Wilmington) we have our own warehouses and regular service lines. After free registration on the site, your online cabinet shows the exact warehouse address and your personal customer number (TK-XXXXXXX); the number goes on every box so the parcel is matched to you.
From China and Turkey there are two shipping speeds: from China, Express (about 5–7 days) and Economy (about 25–30 days); from Turkey, Express (about 3–5 days) and Economy (about 10–12 days). From the USA, Express only (about 7–10 days). These are estimates, not guarantees.
From Germany, the UAE, Russia, Korea, India and other countries we ship on individual request: we arrange pickup from the supplier or receipt at an agreed point and the international transport. Transit times for these countries depend on the route and are stated in the offer.
Transport modes: air, sea, rail and road
We choose the route and mode according to the cargo, its urgency and your budget. Air is the fastest, sea is the most economical for heavy and bulky cargo, and rail and road offer a balance between the two on Eurasian routes.
Small shipments travel as groupage on a shared manifest with other clients’ cargo and are priced per kg. Full container (FCL), part container (LCL), full truckload (FTL) and dedicated shipments are available on request.
Customs clearance
On the three main lanes — China, Turkey, USA — there are two service types. Transport: we deliver to Azerbaijan and you or your broker handle customs. Transport + Customs (“Cargo”): we also clear customs and you see one final amount.
From other countries we transport the cargo to Azerbaijan and customs is handled separately: you clear it yourself or via your broker, or hand it to us as a customs brokerage service — document checks, declaration preparation, coordination of procedures. Terms are agreed individually in the offer.
Import duty depends on the HS code, VAT is 18% of the customs value plus duty, and customs fees apply. Some goods need certificates — conformity, phytosanitary, veterinary and others.
How to send a request
In the cargo request, give the goods, approximate weight and volume, the supplier’s country and city, and whether you need customs support. Declare battery-powered products, liquids and gels, and cargo needing special inspection in advance — terms for these are agreed individually.
Pricing is individual: chargeable weight is the greater of actual and volumetric weight. Below you will find country pages describing each lane in detail.
