What does “cargo” mean and what does it cover at TuranKargo?
In Azerbaijan “cargo” usually means bringing goods in from abroad and handing them over with customs already cleared. At TuranKargo that is the Freight + Customs service: we collect the goods from the supplier, carry them to Azerbaijan, clear customs and hand them over at our warehouse. If you only need the transport, you choose the Freight service.
How long does cargo from China, Türkiye and the USA take?
All three lanes come with two shipping speeds: Express — 5–7 days, Standard — 25–30 days. Transit times are indicative and confirmed once the goods are received.
How is the cargo price calculated?
The price follows the chargeable weight, which is the greater of the actual and the volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is length × width × height (cm) ÷ 6,000. Up to 1 kg the price is flat; above 1 kg the per-kg rate applies to the whole weight and the weight is rounded up to 0.1 kg.
What is volumetric weight and how is it calculated?
Volumetric weight is a notional weight based on the space a shipment takes up: length × width × height (cm) ÷ 6,000. A 40 × 30 × 30 cm box, for example, has a volumetric weight of 6 kg. If the actual weight is lower, the price follows the volumetric weight.
Is there a minimum price?
Yes. A shipment over 1 kg never costs less than the flat rate of the 0.5–1 kg band. Below 1 kg the price is flat per weight band.
Is the price shown by the calculator final?
No, it is an estimate. The final price is confirmed once the shipment has been measured and the documents checked.
What is the difference between Freight and Freight + Customs?
With Freight we deliver the goods to Azerbaijan and customs clearance is handled by you or your broker. With Freight + Customs (Cargo) we handle customs as well, and you see a single final amount.
Do you carry shipments heavier than 50 kg?
Yes. Shipments over 50 kg are priced individually. Enter the details in the calculator and send the request — every figure is attached to it automatically.
Do you ship from countries other than China, Türkiye and the USA?
Yes, on request. Pick the country in the calculator or fill in the custom request form — we will prepare a quote and get back to you.
Which goods come with different terms?
Items containing batteries, liquids and goods that need a separate inspection may come with different terms and pricing. Flag such goods in the request before shipping.
Do you pick the goods up at the supplier’s address?
Yes, as an extra service: the goods are collected from the sender’s address in the country of origin. Palletising and extra packing are available too. Mention it in the note on your request.
Where are the goods handed over?
At our warehouse in Azerbaijan. The handover point is the same for both service types (Freight and Freight + Customs).
Which currency are the rates in?
Every rate on this site is shown in US dollars (USD). The calculator returns the result in the same currency.
What happens after I send a request?
The request reaches us with all the shipment details and the estimate. Once the goods are received and measured and the documents checked, we confirm the final price and start the transport. Handover is at our warehouse in Azerbaijan.
